The role

We grow in two ways: one connected site at a time, and when the owner of an existing control center chooses to hand it over to us. Many of these companies were built by their owners over twenty or thirty years. That decision is made once, and the numbers, the financing and the transition have to be right, because a business and its people depend on them.

You own the finance side of that. You build the model that tells us what a company is worth today and what it can become with us, you structure the financing together with banks, investors and sellers, and you take each transaction through due diligence to closing. At the same time you build the finance function of a company with several sites, and you are the person the founders, the board and the banks turn to for the numbers.

Your impact shows up in transactions that close on terms both sides still stand behind years later, and in how clearly we see our own numbers.

Responsibilities

• You build and own the financial model for every transaction: valuation, financing structure, scenarios, and what the business looks like once it runs on Trident.
• You look at each company properly: customer contracts, recurring revenue, cost base, and the questions that decide whether a transaction makes sense.
• You structure the financing with banks, investors and sellers, and you prepare the material they decide on.
• You run due diligence together with advisors, lawyers and the team, and you keep the process on schedule through signing and closing.
• You make sure the numbers hold after closing: the transition plan, reporting, and whether what we planned actually arrived.
• You build the finance function from scratch. Planning, monthly reporting, liquidity, financial control across several sites.
• You prepare the numbers for board meetings, investor updates and the next financing round, and you present them yourself.
• You value each company by its customers and its people, not only by the spreadsheet.

What you bring

• You have worked on transactions: in M&A advisory, transaction services, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development at a growing company.
• You have taken transactions to closing yourself, not only modeled them.
• You build models that others can read and that hold up when a bank asks the second question.
• You stay precise under time pressure and keep several processes running at once.
• You can sit with an owner handing over their life’s work one day and across from a bank the next, and be the same person in both rooms.
• Every figure you put in front of someone has a source.
• You speak fluent German.
