About Arcos
Arcos is building a new civil security provider for Europe. We believe safety is made, not given, and that someone has to protect what societies depend on. Every signal has to be understood, every decision made, every incident resolved, every step proven. Correct, fast, reliable, without compromise. That system is what we build and operate, end to end. Signals, Systems, Societies.
We are looking for exceptional people who want to build the resilience and sovereignty this work depends on. Safety improves when operators, technologists and partners combine their expertise. We build with the industry, not past it.
Everyone here owns the outcome, from the first decision to the measurable result. Relentless ownership is what turns good results into exceptional ones.
The role
Trident is the software our teams answer alarms in. Signals arrive from buildings, cameras and sensors around the clock, and Trident turns them into something a person can act on. You build the platform underneath it.
You own the core. How signals are processed in real time, how work is routed, how the system records what happened. The architectural decisions are yours: how data flows, how work executes, how much can be handled automatically, and where a person decides. The work is full stack with its weight on the backend. The interface matters, but the guarantees live underneath it.
There are real users from your first week. What you ship reaches someone at three in the morning, in the seconds before a decision. It has to be correct, fast and reliable. Europe does not have this layer yet, and we would rather build it here than watch it built somewhere else.
Responsibilities
- You own the core of Trident: how signals come in, how the work is modelled, and how a decision in the system becomes an action in the real world.
- You make the architectural calls. How data flows, how work executes, what runs automatically, and what stays with a person.
- You build real time processing that holds under load.
- You make the record hold. What came in, what was checked, what was done and by whom, written as it happens.
- You take features from a rough idea to production, and you stay responsible once teams depend on them.
- You model the work the way it actually runs, not as tables.
- You sit with the people who use what you built, and you change it when what you see there proves the design wrong.
- You treat the record as part of the feature. A change nobody can reconstruct later is not finished, however well it runs.
What you bring
- You have built backend systems that ran in production and that you had to answer for.
- You know distributed systems and event driven architecture well.
- You work across the stack, with your weight on the backend.
- You figure out what needs to exist, build it, and own it when it breaks.
- You are direct in review, in both directions.
